The Whiskeytown Sailing Club was chartered
in 1964 with the purposes of:
Fostering and perpetuating the sport of sailing and
conducting sailing activities.
Conducting sailboat racing and encouraging the growth and
development of one design fleets and associations.
Conducting social activates among members of the club and
mutually interested
organizations.
Upholding the principals of good sportsmanship and
the highest standards of the
sport of sailing.
Member
Application is open to all persons of either sex who are interested in the
sport of sailing, subject to acceptance by the Membership Committee. There
are four types of memberships.
Members are those
who have paid full membership fees and assessments. They have full voting
rights and all of the privileges of the club.
Associate Members
are husband, wife or dependents under 21 of a member. They have no voting
rights and pay no membership fees, but have all of the privileges of the
club.
Sustaining
Members are members who donate funds or property to the club for the benefit
of the membership. They are elected to membership by the directors of the
club. Sustaining members pay no membership fees or assessments and have no
voting rights, but enjoy all the privileges of the club.
Honorary Members
are those persons who have performed outstanding services for the club and
upon whom the club may wish to confer this distinction. Honorary members
are elected by the directors of the club. They pay no membership fees or
assessments, but enjoy all the privileges of the club.
Honorary Members and Sustaining Members
are elected for a period of one year
and may be reelected annually by the directors.
