Beauty and the Beast Pursuit this weekend, July 10th 6-8pm

Filed under: Events, Social! — Pamela Hanford @ 1:21 PM

It’s that time of year again!  Women of Whiskeytown wrestle those beasts down to the front of the boats and skipper their own way around the lake.  Trophies to the victor beauty at the club dinner this fall.  Brief skipper’s meeting at 6pm with the race starting ASAP after.  We plan to be off the lake by 8pm and enjoy some visiting in the parking lot after.  See you there!  Call 224-1675 with questions.

Sailing tonight? 6/12/10?

Filed under: Events, Social! — Pamela Hanford @ 3:51 PM

Friends, we did post in our newsletter last month that we’d have a sailing event tonight, but we haven’t yet found any club members who have this on their calenders.  Plus, we see lots of you out there sailing this morning and this afternoon, and suspect that no one is planning to stay until 6pm tonight to START another event.  So we are reluctantly canceling our plans for tonight, and we apologize to anyone who may be showing up expecting some fun!

Remember that next Saturday is our first event with YMCA youth (9 – 12 noon), and we would really appreciate any sailors who come out to participate and put their boats into the mix.  In the meantime, enjoy your weekend!

Please email and request regatta results

Filed under: News — Pamela Hanford @ 12:11 PM

We’ve had some anxious visitors checking our site, looking for regatta results.  Apparently, because of the recent damage to our site caused by hackers, we’re not able to actually POST this information.  However, we will SEND it in the form of a .pdf document to anyone who writes requesting it.  Please write to whiskeytownsailing@gmail.com and we will send results to you post haste!

In the meantime, your webmanagers will resolutely begin deleting ALL damaged files and creating a new site from scratch . . . sigh . . .

We’re adding a new link HERE for any info seekers who are having trouble with our “tab” for the “Memorial Regatta” above.

Some damage done, some repaired

Filed under: News — Pamela Hanford @ 10:22 PM

After our site was hacked last week we were fearful all content had been lost.  Fortunately the web host was able to restore most of the content, although some of it looks out of whack and out of balance.  The nice Flash slideshow that did appear below our banner sometimes appears and sometimes does not.  In the next few weeks we’ll be working on either updating or completely replacing what you see here.  In the meantime, the priority is the regatta.
